Warning: This one's rather long so you should devote your time to read it :3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were just a young girl, only (your age) years old, daydreaming about what life had all in store for you. You thought about things like 'How vast is the world?', 'What's behind the endless seeming ocean?' or 'Will I, and when yes, when will I find the man of my dreams?'.
Yep... you were a hopeful romantic person wating for her beloved man and were sure that HE will someday arrive on that white horse, knee down in front of you and will ask for your hand in marriage. Of course he'd look like a sweet prince and would have a just as sweet personality, caring for you deeply and read every wish from your lips.
You were always optimistic and positive, only seeing the good in life and people. But not everyone could be like you, especially not at a time like this.
Pirates were everywhere, destroying whole villages, burning down houses, killing innocent people before stealing everything they had and last but not least they took young girls and raped them before they were also killed. They didn't even care for the poor children who couldn't defend themselves.
So therefore, nobody liked them and got scared just hearing the word "pirate". Usually, nobody dared to talk about them, thinking that'd bring bad luck so that they might appear the next moment and would take every reason worth living from them.
...if they managed to stay alive, that is.
Eventhough pirates are clearly murderous and cruel scum in everyone's eyes you thought differently. In your opinion, there at least had to be a reason why they were doing all those things. They weren't born bad, they chose that life after having lived years in this world, and seriously: The world, no matter how much you wanted that not to be real, was cruel.
Poor people slept on the streets, nearly freezing to their deaths in the cold winter nights. Other people died from diseases no doctor was capable to cure or they didn't have enough money to support the costs of their medicines. Those who were happy enough to have a job got themselves easily hurt at their work.
To live in all that misery, many of them decided to drown themselves in alcohol to forget all their worries and to have a good time. But then again, those people kept on getting into fights, hurting themselves again... it's almost like they asked for that.
Furthermore many families broke apart because the parents got into an argument, fighting over something so ridiculous, or one parent died for the reasons mentioned above, leaving the other parent alone to support them and their child or even several children. Or the worst scenario, both parents died and left their child all alone, who was now an orphan and had to find some way to survive the days.
Yeah, viewing the world from that perspective, it didn't seem that bright anymore. But that was only another reason why some people may have become pirates.
Or maybe they didn't want to and were kind of forced because they had nowhere to go and the life of a pirate would bring them food, money and company. A company in which no one looked down at you because you were all in the same boat. (Well, boat, also like, a pirate boat, got it? xD I'm sorry x3)
Therefore, pirates had a LOT of reasons why they've become who they were now. And you were sure, that they, when they were kids, weren't 'cruel' like everyone described them to be. Children had pure hearts, you just couldn't imagine a five-year-old one running like a madman through the streets with a dagger in their hand and killing citizens.
No, that was just wrong.
So that's why you always saw the good in people and never the bad. You didn't want and also couldn't judge a person by their appearance or what they were. You wanted to get to know them first in order to form an opinion on them. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair, right?
"(NAME)! Come in, dear! Dinner's ready!" your mother shouted from the window of your small, but nevertheless, comfortable house, pulling you out of your little world inside your head.
"Coming mom!" you shouted back. Taking one last glance at the ocean which you could see from the hill you were living on you then took your leave, already happy to get some food because you didn't realise how hungry you were.
*Grrrrruumble*
"...yeah, yeah, alright. I get your point. You'll get your food in a moment, just be a little more patient." you said to your now, in his own laguage, which you understood perfectly, speaking stomach who just told you that he's "staaaarving".
You got into your house and sat at the table, wating for the food to be served. Your father was already there, reading the newspaper (yeah he reads it in the evening, let's just say he hasn't had enough time in the morning ^^).
Your mother placed the food on the table and you all began eating, after saying some prayers, while your dad's eyes never really left the newspaper.
"And dear? Have you finished your tasks?" Your mother started a conversation with you.
"..."
"(Name)?"
"......"
Your mother sighed, also letting her shoulders fall slightly. "Oh (Name), you didn't finish them again? What have you been doing? You weren't daydreaming again, were you?"
"..." You just grinned awkwardly.
"Oh, my dear (Name), what should I do with you...?" She said, shaking her head slowly in a defeated manner.
"...I can't help it, it's just who I am." You said, now smiling warmly and chuckling a bit.
"Right. That's the way I know my daughter.", she said, now also chuckling a bit, but then regaining a slightly more serious and lecturing voice, "But you know, you do have to learn how to do your work properly. Otherwise, it may have bad consequences for our family."
"Yeah, I know. I WILL pay more attention to my work and make sure that nothing bad happens because of my daydreaming." You also said seriously, but still having that smile on your face.
"I hope so... Maybe your father could also say a word or two. He might give you some useful advice." She said looking in the direction where your father sat who was reading some kind of article in the newspaper very attentively. (I seriously don't know if they already had newspapers at that point of time....I don't know much about all that stuff anyway so excu(uuuu)se me (princess) if I'm writing about something they haven't had yet xD)
"..."
"Darling?" Your mother asked once again.
"Huh, what?" Your father finally answered, looking at your mother while seeming a bit out of place. You giggled at his confused looking face what made him looking at you now.
"Like father, like daughter..." Your mother chuckled heartly.
"So I really can't help it, it's passed on!" You giggled uncontrolled on your seat, holding your right hand in front of your mouth.
After eating you made yourself ready for bed. You were pretty exhausted because of all the work you've done today but couldn't help to think a bit more about your family and your village.
Yep, you had a wonderful family who cared for you deeply and achieved to give you a life without any worries.
You lived in a small, peaceful village with an harbour at which arrived many different ships daily, many shops and everyday markets for food supplies and other important things and weekly markets where you could buy more rare and interesting things sailors brought to you from far, far away. You even had a big, beautiful fountain and an also big, rustical looking belltower in the middle of your village!
And the best part: Your village held many festivals, three till four in a month, where you could dance to cheerful music, eat special snacks and candys and everything just looked so ceremonial, fitting to the mood of the townsfolk.
Oh man, if they or your parents would know what exacly you thought about pirates... that certainly wouldn't be good. Luckily for you this topic wasn't discussed often, due to the fear of the people.
After that, you fell asleep, going to a wonderful dreamland of mysterious wonders...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The next day~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The morning rays of light and the chirping of birds awoke you gently the next morning. You stretched your arms above your head, yawned loudly and put on a new set of clothes. Then you quickly ate breakfast with your family, chatting and laughing a bit, took the shopping basket, some money and then left your house.

Today you had to go to the market and buy new food supplies for the next few days. Since your village was rather small most of the people were familiar with each other.

You greeted a lot of them on your shopping trip and they greeted back, sometimes even held a short conversation with you about how your parents were doing and if everything was alright or if something was new. You told them that everything was fine and proceeded to go after having said goodbye to them.

It was such a beautiful morning, just like almost every other morning was. But that was only natural because it was in the middle of spring. The sun shone brightly down on the trees, streets and houses what made your village look like it was dipped in warm gold. You breathed the fresh morning air in and out, heaving a content sigh. The beautiful scenery and the happy laughing of playing children only added to your good mood.

After some more minutes of walking you reached the market, the place where most of the villagers were now. To put it in a nutshell, it was a really lively place. That was also the reason why the way of cobblestone was very cramped and you often had to squeeze through the crowd of people.

~~~~Short Time Skip~~~~
Now you were done with shopping and wanted to go back home when a small stall with a lot of beautiful flowers in various colours caught your attention. You pondered briefly if you should surprise your parents with a small present. Thinking that was a great idea you walked over and talked to the seller who was a girl about the same age as you were.
"Good morning, I see you have a very nice stall with so many lovely flowers. I'd like to buy a bouquet of them."
"Good morning~! Thank you and of course! Right away~!" She answered. This girl seemed to be very enthusiastic and you took an immediate liking to her. "Do you want any specific flowers or colours?" She asked.
"Uhm..." You thought about which flowers and colours both of your parents would like the best, "A mixture of white and blue lilys would be nice." A small smile crossed your lips. For you white represented innocence and purity while blue represented freedom.
"Okey-dokey~!" In no time the young girl had already a wonderful bouquet of your wanted lilys ready. You stared at them in awe.
"They're beautiful, no?" She asked you with a more serious and sad voice. You looked at her and were surprised to see that her eyes weren't sparkling anymore but dull. Not sure what was the right thing to say you just stayed silent.
"Here~! I hope you like them." And in an instant she was back to 'normal' if one could say so. Now she seemed to be full of life again.
"Yes, thank you very much. They are really lovely." You took them, put them into your basket and hand her the money.
"By the way, my name's Kathrin. You seem to be nice, so I hope to see you again sometimes." She extended her hand which you happily took and smiled warmly.
"My name is (Name). It's a pleasure to meet you. You're also a nice person. Say, are you new here? I've never seen you here before..."
"Yeah, I am actually new here. My mother and I just moved into this village because we wanted to have a better life. We endured some cruel times..." You smiled symphatetically at her. "Well...life is what we make of it. And now I'm looking forward to better times. I guess I already made a new friend, right?" She asked you with hope and delight in her eyes. You giggled at her.
"Yes, yes you made one. For now I have to go back, otherwise my parents will get worried about me but I'll definitely come back later. We could go to the harbour and watch the sea together or something like that? Of course only if you want to..." You looked down. You didn't really have a clue what friends did together since you had none to hang out with. There weren't many teenager beside you in your village anyway and either they were too snobbish or too mean to you.
"Sure! I'll be seeing you then~!" She said to you and laughed a bit. You waved goodbye and took off.
On your way back you suddenly heard a man running and shouting through the streets. "They're coming! They're coming!! Run for your dear lives, safe your wives, hide your children! Do whatever is necessary!" But who was comming? The same question had apparently another man who took the other one's shoulders and shook him violently. He now also started to panic.
"Who is coming!?"
"The pirates of course! They're going to kill us all!" And with that he jerked out of his grip and ran away. It was unnecessary to say that all the villagers started panicing and ran in all directions, gathering what was precious to them and then ran again. Only you just stood there, unable to move. Countless thoughts swirled through your mind like 'What should I do now?', 'Should I take a closer look at the pirates?' and 'What about my parents and Kathrin? Are they safe?'. For a moment you didn't know what to do until a man knocked you over and you fell on your behind.
"Hey! That wasn't nice!" You shouted after him but he resumed running away. "God, those people who have no manners..." You mumbled silently to yourself and cursed him inwardly to trip and fall flat on his face.
"My, my... that git clearly had no manners at all. How ungentlemanly of him to run into someone, let them fall and then not to help them up again. That's no behaviour towards a lady, especially one as beautiful as you are, love..." A young male voice with a heavy British accent interrupted your thoughts. As you looked up your eyes widened. In front of you stood the most handsome man you had ever seen. He had those mesmerizing, emerald green eyes which looked sweetly at you, short, blond, messy hair that got even messier as it blew softly in the wind and a smile that would have caused you to go weak at the knees. Luckily for you, you were still on the floor. What got your attention next were his eyebrows which were... let's just say they were kinda bigger than normal eyebrows were but, surpsisingly, they seemed to grace his face even more. He was holding out his gloved hand for you to take it but you somehow took no notice of that. In generel you payed no attention to anything but him and you.
He chuckled. "What? Am I that handsome that I've made you speechless?" Only then you realised you had been staring at him and looked to the side to hide your blush.
"Come on, love. Let me help you up." He offered again with his kind voice. This time you took his hand but what you didn't think was how close he then pulled you against his chest.
"So I was right. You're way more beautiful from close up." He smirked. "How about you come with me? I could show you the world like you've never seen it before. Believe me, you won't regret it." He then whispered the last part in your ear. "You'd be my... special guest. And I don't accept a no." You blushed at the proximity and wriggled free of his grip to make more space between the two of you.
"Uhm... Thank you very much for helping me but... I don't think I can come with you just like that. I'm happy to live here with my family. I can't just leave them...besides, I still have to fulfill my duties to help them out. Therefore, I cannot accept your friendly offer. I'm sorry." You smiled sweetly at him, turned around and wanted to go. However, a certain someone wasn't happy about your answer. In the blink of an eye he slung his left arm around your arms and your waist and pulled you close again so that you couldn't move them, and with his right hand he hold a dagger against your throat.
"Miss, I don't think you understand in what situation you're in. I believe I told you I don't accept a no." He breathed in your ear. His voice didn't sound that kind anymore, now it had a dangerous undertone. Wait a moment... what just happened to the nice person who helped you seconds ago?!? You tried desperately to release yourself but no matter how much you struggled he wouldn't let you go. In fact, he pressed his dagger more and more onto your flesh until it drew blood. Now you got anxious. You let your basket, which you managed to hold until now, fall onto the ground. Your brain finally realised who helped and was holding you now. You were completely oblivious to what the man from earlier had said. Pirates... they came to your village... and now one of them was right behind you and hold you captive. Oh what great luck you had...
"Please let me go! I haven't done anything to you! What do you want from me?" You cried. "I have nothing valuable I could give to you!"
"Oh, maybe you don't have anything but you yourself look pretty valuable to me, love~." He chuckled and tightened his grip on you. "Wheather you like it or not, I'm going to take you with me so say goodbye to your family, friends or whoever you want." And with that he slung you over his shoulder and started to head to the harbour. Meanwhile you didn't stop struggling and shouting. Maybe someone would hear you. In your mind you began praying to god.
To your surprise it actually worked this time because you heard a 'clanck!' and an 'Uff!' from mister-handsome-but-I'm-evil-so-screw-it as you both fell down. Thank you god! You landed, again, on your behind but this time you didn't mind it. As long as you could get away it was fine. You looked up to see who your saviour was and your eyes would have dropped out of your head if you were in an Anime or Manga but since this was just a fan fiction they stayed in, but you know nevertheless what I mean. You couldn't really believe your eyes and even rubbed them in case your eyesight suddenly managed to get very bad.
Even so nothing changed. In front of you you saw Kathrin with a triumphant smile and a frying pan in her hands. It was HER who just knocked a pirate off?! Respect girl... She looked at you.
"(Name)! I'm so glad I came in time! Are you alright? Can you get up?" She started but when you both heard the young man groan and get up again she shouted. "Listen! You have to get away, tell your parents and hide! I take care of him~!" She smiled at you. How could she smile in a situation like this?!
"Are you sure, Kathrin? Won't you get in trouble?" You asked her hesitantly.
"Don't worry, I'm tougher than I look~ And now run, don't you dare waste any more time!" You decided to trust her and follow her orders, hoping nothing bad would happen to your friend. You qickly picked up your basket and took off. As you ran away you could still hear their voices eventhough they were somewhat mumbled, but you understood less and less the more you ran until the point you couldn't hear them anymore.
~~~~With Mr sexy pirate (since your fan fiction-self still doesn't know his name) and Kathrin~~~~

"Oh, you really think you stand a chance against me? I see you're quite the funny one~"

"You just Shut.Up.! How dare you want to piratenap my new friend! I'll make sure you won't EVER lay those dirty fingers of yours on her again!" Kathrin said and kept her weapon, if one could consider a frying pan as a weapon, at the ready. The young man raised one eyebrow.

"Firstly, I think you meant 'kidnap' because the word 'piratenap' doesn't exist-"

"DON'T YOU DARE QUESTION ME YOU DAMN PIRATE!!!" He smirked.

"Secondly, you do see I'm wearing gloves or are you blind?" At that he hold his hands up to show her. "I didn't really touch her with my 'dirty fingers', plus I'm sure you, filthy villager, are way dirtier than me 'damn pirate'." Kathrin now bared her teeth.

"And thirdly, don't you think you're using the term 'dare you' a bit too often? You already said that three times in those few seconds we've talked to each other." Kathrin growled at that.

"I don't care how I speak and my language shouldn't concern a damn pirate like you! Now get ready to get beaten by a girl!" And with that she stormed towards him and was about to hit him on his head but before she was able to do that he took both of her arms and turned them painfully against her back. She let her weapon fall and winced at the pain.

"You know..." He began. "Maybe you don't want to beat me. If you wanted to you would have put more of a fight with that willpower of yours but that just now was outright pathetic, even for a young girl like yourself." Kathrin growled again and tried to kick him but failed at the attempt.

"Excluding the fact you wouldn't be able to fight me anyway, I come to the conclusion you are...jealous..." He whispered the last part in her ear from behind her.

"Oh come on, how could someone possibly misunderstand my actions like THAT!? Are you dumb or what?" She snapped. "Like I would EVER want to be your plaything! I have my pride and I won't let you wound it!"

He sighed. "Well don't worry, I didn't plan on getting you on my precious ship. Like I would take rubbish with me." He made a disgusted face. Kathrin got, to say the least, very angry at that statement.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY YOU LITTLE-" But she stopped midway in her sentence as she felt something cold and metallic on her throat.

"Now be polite and let me finish. As I was saying, I won't take you-" He got interrupted again.

"Oh no, you won't take (Name) with you! I won't let that happen-" She first cried determined, then in pain as she felt a sharp pain across her throat. Her knees got weak and she stumbled around until she fell to the ground, landing on her knees and supporting herself with her hands.

"You just won't learn, will you?" He shook his head in a disaprooval manner. "Well, now you shouldn't be able to talk anymore." A cruel smile formed on his lips. "But you should be happy! Instead of being my wench what you oh so not wanted to be, on what I have the same opinion anyway, I'll let you stay here at home~ That wound of yours isn't even that severe, if you treat it in the next half and hour there'll be even a chance for you to survive! You'll see, I'm a pretty generous man, am I not~?" His smiling expression then fell and he now looked very likely unpleased. "And you let her get away from me..." A moment of silence passed while he looked down at her. The pirate then kicked her in the stomach so that she now layed on her side, writhed in pain.

"But now you shouldn't be a pesky burden anymore~ Cheerio~!" And with that he took off as well, going into the direction he thought you went.

~~~~With you~~~~
You ran like there was no tomorrow, but made sure that you wouldn't lose your shopping basket. Pirates were everywhere, devastating your beloved village. It was a wonder, that until now no one of them noticed you (Canada-mode activated. BOOP!). Maybe they were that preoccupied with their rampage...
When you saw an alley to your left an idea popped in your mind. That way was like a short cut, so if you took it you wouldn't need as much time as you would have when you were going to go the 'normal' way. Plus there were no people who were freaking out nor any pirates why it seemed pretty safe to go. You made a sharp curve to the left and ran into it. However, you didn't realize how dark this alley was until you were walking through it nor the person who was silently following you.
Although you were in a hurry you slowed down because the darkness started to scare you. You took slow steps, each of them echoed through the hall. You looked to your left and to your right, trying to find any source of light but there was none. You couldn't even see where the alley ended.
So you hesitantly walked forward, the only sound which accompanied you was the sound your feet made when they touched the ground and your own shallow breath you had because of all the running.
Then you stopped. Just stopped. You finally had that weird feeling that something was wrong. Like...someone was watching you. But that couldn't be...
...right?
'Smack' You quickly turned around and looked from where exactly the noise came but all you could see was darkness. 'Peep peep' (that should be a rat xD) Again you quickly turned around, your (hair lenght), (hair colour) swayed with your head's movement. As your fear got stronger your eyes got wider and you grew with each second more paranoid. Again there was nothing but darkness. You needed a time out and leaned against the wall, then let yourself slowly slide down. Now you were huddled up like a small, frightened child. You knew you had to go to your parents and tell them what happened but you just couldn't go on, your body went on strike and wouldn't move.
Suddenly you heard a quiet sound- Wait, you just heard it again. And again, and again. It was getting louder. You recognized it as footsteps... so someone else beside you was here?! But who?! Did one of the pirates actually see you and decided to follow you? Or was it, by any chance, Kathrin...?
You stood up again, facing the side you came from and where you heard the footsteps coming from. They became louder and louder until they stopped. ...why did they stop? Who was it now? You still couldn't see the person.
"Fear not! I'm not going to hurt you." No, it couldn't be Kathrin anymore because the voice was male. You thought if the person was someone from your village.
"Come with me, I'll take you home. I won't let any of those pirates out there hurt you. You're safe with me." No, you were familiar with that voice but just couldn't lay your finger on who it was. Therefore, you decided against the man's offer.
"I'm sorry, mister, but I neither know who you are nor can I see you. So please go safe yourself, I'm good on my own." You lied. You just wanted this person to go away, he creeped you out!
"Tch'! You sure are stubborn, you know that, love?" You grew pale. Now you remembered the voice but you still hoped that you were wrong. However, your hopes got shattered as the figure walked closer and you finally could make out his features. You only heard the sound of your basket unconsiously when it made contact with the ground.
"Why hello there~ Long time no see." He smirked at you while he came closer. For the first time you looked at what he wore and you facepalmed yourself in your mind for not noticing anything. He wore a long, red coat with golden ornamentations and just as golden epaulettes, under that a plain white shirt, black gloves like you saw them before, dark brown boots and last but not least the typical black pirate hat with a big, fluffy feather on top of it. He looked like the perfect pirate right out of a picture book! In contrast to him you looked like a poor girl. You had tried to make your (hair lenght), (hair colour) look neat but it was still somewhat messy and a bit dirty. Your (eye colour) eyes that were usually full of live now looked fearful at the person in front of you. And your clothes were nothing compared to his, they were plain and not one bit fancy. I mean compared to his, for a normal girl in your village you did have good looking clothes and were quite beautiful.
But what should you do now? Your body wouldn't move, you were too scared what would happen if you turned your back to him. Would you even be able to outrun him? And he surely had his dagger somewhere and wouldn't be afraid to use it. Again. So, unable to do something except for staring wide eyed at him and trembling like a leaf he suddenly came to a halt.
"It's dangerous to go alone, love. (Take this! Sorry xD) Something bad might happen to you, and neither me nor you would want that, right?" He opened his arms towards you. "Why don't you come with me? I have you know that I'm a gentleman. You'll be safe." His attitude and his arrogant voice started to piss you off and you snapped.
"Ha! I wouldn't call it 'safe' when you hold that dagger of yours onto my throat. That wasn't nice either! That other man panicked and he didn't do that on purpose unlike YOU." He raised his eyebrows as you ranted but smirked when you got a more worried voice. "Besides, what happened to Kathrin...?"
"Let's just say that, in the end, she kneeled down before me. She was a stubborn girl though..." He sighed.
"You don't mean she... you...?" You asked with a quiet voice, not wanting to believe what you were thinking.
"Oh, no no! I didn't kill her! I'm a kind man after all~" He started making his way towards you again but you still couldn't move. Your inner voice shouted at you to run away but your body ignored it. He picked up one of the blue flowers which fell out of the basket and put it behind your ear before leaning in close to your face.
How ironically. Blue was freedom but you weren't free anymore...
"You look really cute with that~" At that his expression softened and you saw the sweet man who had helped you up again but not three seconds later he had that dangerous face again. "Now, if you please won't struggle it will make things a whole lot easier. From what I saw, there aren't any villagers out there anymore who could help you anyway. Therefore, any attempt to cry for help would be pointless."
This man was taking your freedom from you...
"Or do I have to force you? Come on, tell me what's your decision~"
There wasn't any help nor hope for you...
"So? What will it be, love~?"
You looked at your feet, your eyes dull. "...alright, I'll come with you." Then you faced him with a pleading expression on your face. Begging (eye colour) orbs met gleaming emerald ones. "But please... please stop destroying my village! Leave the villagers alone!"
He raised his hand slowly above your head before placing it on your hair and gently stroked it. "Good girl~" Then he lifted you up and this time carried you bridal style. He went with you out of the dark alley into the bright light which first blinded you which is why you had to squint your eyes. But when they got used to the light and you could finally see something you wished you'd never have opened them. What you saw was pure horror. Houses were burning, walls crushed, doors broken down, windows and shattered. Dead corpses lay here and there, their blood splattered on the street. You looked around. You were familiar with a lot of them. They greeted you this morning and chatted with you but now they won't ever talk again.
You couldn't help but started to cry and hid your face in the pirate's chest. No longer were you able to face the bitter truth that lay in front of you. You were furious, outraged, sick with anger! But at the same time hopeless, depressed and filled with endless sadness. You wanted to make him feel your anger, let him suffer in any kind of way possible, to show him not to mess with you. But what could plain old you do? You didn't know how to fight and least of all against a pirate captain. Heck you never even learned how to defend yourself!
"Alright men! We're retreating!" He shouted to his crew who was still plundering every valuables they could find.
"But cap'n, there is still much to get!" One crew member shouted disappointed.
"Aye cap'n! Ye get yerself a wench? And a nice one at that..." The other one commented as his hungry eyes looked you up and down. You felt cold shivers run up your spine and clinged to the captain's shirt for some kind of protection. Why exactly you did that, you had no idea. Maybe it was because, although he was one himself, you felt safe from the other pirates.
While you thought he stared the last one with an angry face down. If looks could kill he'd be dead by now.
"Oi... under no circumstances are you allowed to call her a wench! From now on she's my property. Touch her and you will regret it greatly." A gloom formed around him and he chuckled darkly. "If you wish to die, please... just ask. I know many ways how to get rid of scum~" The man gulped loudly in fear. He knew his captain could get evil but now he was malicious! "This applies for everyone. Savy??"
"Aye, cap'n!" And with that he brought you onto his ship, into his quarters and laid you gently on the edge of his queen-sized bed. You avoided looking into his eyes, still scared of his earlier behaviour towards his crew. So you just looked at your hands which were fiddling with each other. He watched you a few moments and his heart ached realizing how harsh he was. Then he got down on his right knee, took your small right hand in his and laid a soft kiss on it.
"Please excuse me for my horrible behaviour, love. I didn't mean to scare you... but you know, as the captain I have to keep the men together and have them respect me. Or else I wouldn't be the cap'n." His voice sounded so kind again but you already had been tricked by it. Could you risk a look? ...nah, he wouldn't go for your face if you did. You slowly moved your head a bit to look at him and he...his eyes showed regret. He looked so sincere right now. You didn't know what to do or what to say until something hit your mind. You still didn't know his name!
"What is your name?" Your voice was almost inaudible.
"Ah, you're right!" He said surprised. "What a bad gentleman I am." He stood up, took off his hat and bowed to you. "May I introduce myself? I am Arthur Kirkland, greatest captain to ever sail the Seven Seas and still learning gentleman~" He looked with his head up at you and smiled. "And you my fair lady are...?"
"Oh, I'm (first name) (last name), an ordinary girl who had been kidnapped by the cruelest pirate ever recently." You started to think that this Arthur guy had a split personality. First, he seems sweet and nice and then bam! In the next second, you were sure of it, he could even scare the Death himself away. Pirate AND gentleman couldn't work together anyway.
"What a beautiful name. (Name)..." He ignored the last part and zoned out. You tilted your head to the side, not remembering you still had the lily behind your ear which, due to your movement, fell off. You picked it up again and pondered a bit before you stood up and held it out to Arthur. He, on the other side, got out of his head, looked puzzled at the flower in your hand and hesitantly took it.
"Ah, you're such a charmer~"
"Oh shut up! I didn't mean it like that! There's no use for me to have it."
"...and why is that so?" He didn't catch up with you.
"You don't know what that colour means, then? Oh excuse me, of course a pirate wouldn't know the meaning of a flower's colour. Like you would care." He felt offended at that because it made his 'race' sound like they had hearts of stone. He wanted to show you the opposite, so he surpressed his slight anger. Besides, he did know a bit about flowers... You on the other hand had had enough of pirates in one day. You always thought so differently about them, that they were actually nice but after today's events you had to rethink everything. Surely, you would never forget what you had to see this day.
"Would you care to explain the meaning to me?" Arthur asked you in a calm voice.
"Well, to me the colour blue represents freedom but... I'm not free anymore, am I?"
"Of course you are!" He sounded surprised that you thought like that.
"But you're holding me here captive."
"Ah, please love, you make it sound like this here is prison."
"Well, can I go?"
"Where to..?"
"Off of this ship of course!"
"No, you cannot."
"See? You won't let me go." You said folding your arms across your chest and turned away from him.
"Because I don't want to let you go..." He said and hugged you from behind.
"You can't just go and order people around. They live their own lives, form their own opinions and make their own decisions. You cannot control them like they're your little "marionettes!" You snapped back at him. His personality then changed again.
"I want to remember you that I'm the captain of a crew and I can order them around very good when I want to. Besides, you're my property." He whispered the last part in your ear before nibbling on it. Your cheeks turned very red and you tried to get away from him but of course to no avail.
"Hey, let me go! I'm not your property!" You whined.
"Oh yes? We will see about that, love~" Arthur said seductively and bit softly on your neck. In return you gasped as a strange feeling came over you. He bit harder until it drew blood making you wince under him and then licked the new wound to make it up to you. Stepping back he admired his work.
"What the heck did you just do?!"
"Giving you a love bite~ I told you you're mine~"
"...a WHAT!?" You cried and faced him.
"Now there there, love." He began and patted your head. "From now on you'll be confronted more often with these kind of things. You act like you've never had contact with a man. ...or could it be that this is a whole new experience to you?"
"..."
"Really? What about your first kiss?" You blushed.
"No... I haven't done anything of that yet... But so what?! It's not like there's some kind of unwritten rule that tells you when you already should have done these things..." You pouted. Arthur chuckled.
"Hey! Why are you laughing now?!"
"Ahaha oh love... sorry. There's no need to be ashamed of that. I just wonder what the lads in your village have been doing all the time while they had such a cute lady always right before their eyes." God, making you blush seemed to be his new hobby. He then put his left arm around your shoulder and pulled you closer to him. "But I'm glad about that. It means nobody has touched you before and that I can teach you all the things you need to know. Oh, we will have so much fun~!" You only blushed more. It was like he was touching you permanently.
"Ah, by the way (Name), do you want to know the true meaning of a blue lily?"
"Eh? You know it?"
"Yes. I'm not that ignorant like you think I am, huh?" He smiled at you and took both of your hands. "The lily expresses that you're heart is pure and spotless, the colour blue means that my loyalty is yours and only yours." He explained to you and brushed a strand of hair out of your face. "Do you understand, (Name)..?" Arthur's emerald eyes seemed to look right into your soul. His look was so captivating that you were unable to look away. His arms snaked around your waist, both of your faces inched closer. Somehow the air between you two felt electrifying. You didn't know what you were doing, you just let your body act on its own. Your mind seemed to have fallen asleep. Now your lips were almost brushing against each other's. Suddenly your mind woke up and shouted at you to stop and pull away but you were still in a daze.
'Bam' The door slammed wide open and you flinched. You even would have sprung away from Arthur if it hadn't been for his arms that refused to let you go.
"Cap'n! There's some trouble on deck! We need you to..." A pirate said barging in without any warning. Poor soul, Arthur sent him one of his coldest stares which made him slowly step backwards.
"God, why now..." He cursed. "Alright I'll be right there." The pirate nodded and left the two of you alone again. The moment he left you started to wriggle free of his holdd but in response he only hold you tighter.
"Love, what are you doing?" Arthur asked you. You had finally realized what you've been doing. HE was the evil who took everything from you which was important to you and you had...almost... Man, that was a close call!
"This is wrong! This is so wrong! You destroyed my home, you harmed Kathrin and I don't even know what happened to my parents but judging from what I've seen they sure are-! ...they sure...are..." A sudden wave of sadness overwhelmed you and tears began to flow down your flushed cheeks. You collapsed and threw your hands in front of your face. Arthur watched you heartbroken. He knew you had to hate him for what he has done to you and that he would have to deal with regret sooner or later but he didn't know it would come THAT soon or that he would feel THAT bad. He bent down and hugged you tightly.
"I'm so sorry (Name). I'm so sorry... I know no matter how many times I'll apologize, I won't be able to make it up to you. You don't have to forgive me, but please give me a chance to show you my love to you. From now on I will take good care of you, I promise." And with that he kissed your forehead. You didn't want to believe him. I mean, your mind wouldn't want to believe him because, well you know why, the cruel pirate thing. But what you didn't know was that deep in his heart he really did care for you, that you fascinated him when he first saw you and that you already meant the world to him, even in this short period of time. You stopped crying. "Besides, you don't have to worry about Kathrin, she's a clever girl and I'm sure she's going to make it. And your parents, were they also at the market when we...uhm..attacked?" You looked up to him with a tear streamed face and met his eyes which held honest concern and determination.
"No, they were *sob* at home... We are living- I mean were living on a hill a bit outside from the village's centre... *sob* Why?" He wiped the remaining tears off your face as a big smile graced his face.
"That certainly is good, jolly good! I told my crew not to go too far away from the harbour and to focus on the market. Therefore, your parents should be just fine!" Your (eye colour) widened and a smile crept onto your face.
"Really?! That's great! Oh thank you..." You said and relaxed your face on his, as you felt it, well toned chest, listening to his heart beat. Arthur smiled down at you and slowly patted your back, making you relax even more. He then cupped your face with both hands and turned you to look at him. His eyes showed pure love and again you felt like you were dazed. You both inched again closer and this time, without any interruptions, he kissed you gently on the lips. It was a sweet and caring kiss which you returned. As you, after some time, parted away he smiled and touched your forehead with his breathing: "First kiss: Check~"
You smiled as well and giggled. Arthur then took your hands and pulled you both up.
"Well, I don't want to but I guess I have to take a quick look what those bloody wankers are doing up there. It'd be best if you stay here. I'll be back in a second." Kissing you on the cheek he turned around. You watched him leave and then sighed loudly as the door closed. Then you headed to his bed, laid yourself down on the soft blanket and stared at the ceiling. It was quiet for some moments until you decided to speak again.
"Oh mum, oh dad... I hope you're fine. Don't worry, I'm fine too. But would you be very mad if I told you I am falling in love with a pirate? Oh why do I ask, of course you'd be mad..." You turned to lie on your side and yawned contently. "But I guess it's not too bad..." Slowly your eyes grew heavier... and heavier... till you fell asleep.
~~~~The end?~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sooooooooo folks, that's it for now. I really hope you liked it! ALERT: I'm a beginner so I hereby apologize for any mistakes in any modality! This series(?) may or may not be continued but I think I will~ Comments, favourites (would that be even possible?!?) and criticism is welcome~!
Haha, hello there reader-chans! :D After (nearly two years or so) being here on devianart I finally (FINALLY!) managed to stop being a creep and upload something myself, isn't that great? So, as you can assume this here is my very first deviation on da and I beg you to go easy on me (oh reader-chan, how many times did you read that already? ;( ).
Also, this is only part one of this story... but I'm not sure yet. I could write more, I actually have some ideas what could happen next and I think I WILL write more but nevertheless I'd be glad if there's someone who wants moar~ :3
I would be very happy to know if you like it and could give me some tips for improvement and constructive criticism because I've NEVER written any fan fiction before and am a bit lost how to get into that writing style. Is it too short? Is it too long?? Is it something in between??? Please tell me! :D
Also, I'm German what means that my English probably isn't the best, but I think you can go along with that. :D
Oh, another reason why I didn't upload something is that I'm a perfectionist and it's hard for me to submit something that has (probably many) mistakes in grammar, language and so on, and that isn't well structured, like in other fan fictions (I mean they are well structured don't get me wrong xD). I'm trying my best not to mess and mix and mix and mess everything too much up.
Amen.
Thank you VERY MUCH for reading and please leave a comment of your opinion which is so very important to me!
Stay crazy~ Your Sasa~
I don't own anything but the fan fiction itself and Kathrin...you belong to Captain Kirkland now! ;)
PS: I've got a question for you: When I'm writing fan fictions about Hetalia x Reader (OMG that's YOU! :D), should I write with all their slangs (like Japan/Kiku always says "r" instead of "l") or should I write normal? :?
